News and Updates.
Hello everyone, *Raini-Tempest here to update you on a fun little event we have going this weekend. From Friday, September 18th to Sunday September 20th we are going to be celebrating National Talk Like a Pirate day with our very own pirate theme. Stop by if you're in the mood for some swashbuckling good fun and the nautical prowess of our very own Captain Ozz!
********************************************************
Hey, Guess who it is? Why, it's everyone's favorite idler, Russ, aka =flyinghamsterofdoom! Yes, I'm actually doing something, for once!
There's not a whole lot of news, and I'm going to keep some of the stuff that Ty and Ozz put into the last journal, and mainly, just update a few things, add in a review.
So, it's September, which means one thing; Winter is coming, and so is Halloween! Okay..two things. Shut up.
The votes are in, and our winner for September's MotM is none other than the lovely ~Eivieu! Good work, Zane. <3
Hallowe'en in Summer
So apparently we have a competition going on, and you can win a sub. So, enter, people! [link]RPG Masquerade Night
What the hell is this you ask? Well I'll be happy to tell you. This is mainly for members who are also part of *DAUnderworldRPG, but there is time for anyone interested to get in on this too. But, if you have an RPG character that is part of DAU/RPG, make an account for your character, let the Ops team know, and we will place it in the privclass groups we have set up for them.
Basically, you get to come in and chat as your character would if he/she were real. We've obviously changed the date, so contact a staff member for more information.
Reviews
And now, for a few reviews, the first, by Mikey(=ahollowvoice) and Adri(=ashescry):

Movie: Let the Right One In / Låt den rätte komma in
2008 Swedish Romantic Horror Film*I had not heard of this movie until Adri suggested it for our review despite it being so critically acclaimed. If you cannot bear subtitles this movie is not for you, even if it is exceptional in my opinion, it is in Swedish and has English subtitles. Let the Right One In is critically acclaimed and deservedly so, what stood out to me was how much silence and reading the faces and landscape of people and the setting served to establish the mood- and to prepare you to really understand this world and reach out and embrace the main character Oskar.
Oskar is anything but a typical male in the film, he is a scrawny, pale, almost shockingly blonde-haired twelve year old that has a lot of hidden aggression from being bullied his whole life. The young actor that plays him really did an exceptional job of making the character "real" but it was hard to outperform the character of Eli in Let The Right One In.
The young actress Lina Leandersson was enchanting as the child vampire Eli and stands out in the film as the most resonating character. The approach to children as vampires has been seen and heard of before- notably in Interview with the Vampire but this portrayal was different. Eli is tortured in some way by her condition and cant help but love Oskar back, as foolish and dangerous as it seems to her.
I recommend the movie to anyone who enjoys things off the beaten path and a little different. I give the movie an A, having no better way to judge movies or a neat little gimmick like two thumbs up Im sticking to grades. The film earns a 97% on rottentomatoes.com and has a great deal of approval from critics in general. There are apparently plans for an English release directed by Matt Reeves of Cloverfield fame.

That is happiness; to be dissolved into something completely great.
